Finding Your Sweetspot

The purpose of life is a life of purpose.  Whatever that purpose is, it drives you.

Difficult? The difference between difficult and doable is passion. Anything that is truly worthwhile, passion is part of it. When there is something to strive for and you want it badly, you can endure the setbacks and struggles and sacrifices it takes to get it. You are willing to work hard, for little or no money for the chance to make it. You put all your energy and time into it. Money isn’t the goal but a by product of this mission. It pushes you. Inspires you.

Without passion or purpose, the possibility of making money and having the success you desire is much less likely. You simply won’t have the stamina or be willing to sacrifice and suffer, and it won’t happen. Passion is the pull that keeps you in line and the push that makes you try harder. Energy, enthusiasm, excitement, ingenuity, emotion, determination, courage and resourcefulness all come from passion When you are on purpose and find your callig, you have given yourself the greatest gift because you are doing what you want to be doing and should be doing and when that happens you usually do it exceptionally well, and that attracts others to you as well as money.

When you enjoy how you make money you have achieved success in my opinion. Don’t let people tell you that what you want to do won’t sell. If you really want to do it, you will find a way. Many of the best books were written with a total disregard for what was selling or not selling. The writer was simply passionate about the subject matter – obsessed, even. Whatever pushes your buttons, go for it, even if those around you try to talk you out of it.  Why?

Others don’t live your life.

Take a look at what is working and do more of it.

Go what your strenghts (whatever they may be) – that is where the money is

It is never too late to make a change – for the better.

Follow your heart.  Follow your strenghts, your gut, your talent, even if it isn’t the safest route. You will be happier and more productive.

Here’s one time when being obsessed is a good thing.  If you keep focused on why you create (because you can’t imagine doing anything else), you will keep going until everything comes together and you are suddenly an ‘overnight’ success, making the money and getting the acclaim you deserve.

Make love, make money. The stress from hating how you earn your living can be hazardous to your health.  Even if what you are doing looks like the ĺife’ to others, if it doesn’t make you happy doing it for the long term can tear you apart.

Unhappy at work can sometimes translate to unhappiness at home.

To make money in a meaningful way is the goal. When they say ‘you can have it all’  to me that means  you use your natural skills and abilities, have creative freedom, get the respect and admiration of your peers and the public, add value to the world and help others AND make money too.

Do what you love and the money will follow – sometime, somehow.

You don’t ever have to retire.  Passion never retires. Why quit what you love to do?
